Torquay 90^th Anniversary Show

Many congratulations to the society for serving the canine community for 90 years Thank you for inviting me to judge the Pastoral breeds and groups in an area that I have not judged at all in my lifetime in dogs. I felt the standard of quality was in most breeds very good and the group line up was of excellent standard. My thanks to all for your entry.

Pastoral Group. Pyrenean Moutain DogThorne Ch Belshanmish Pretty in Pink at Pyrajay Loved this four year feminine beautiful balanced and constructed lady. Super head from all angles, correct eye and ear shape the whole head giving a true melting expression. Correct neck and length to height, correct sloping rump. Hindquarters med angulated super muscle, super shoulders tight elbows strong bone correct feet While she lacked a shade short of full coat, for my eye and experience she ticked all the boxes and this took her to top spot.

Group 2. The G.S.D 1/ Fenns & Fosters Chalksville Cool Runnings over Jandeburn B.O.B most pleasing example of the breed overall construction excellent. Strong male head without courseness excellent eye, ear and alert expression. Correct neck shoulder placement tight elbows strong bone tight feet. Correct length to height nice tail set excellent muscled hindquarters. Moved with drive and freedom and presented in excellent condition.

Group 3. Shetland Sheepdog Dunns Neraklee Chardonnay at Shelleary B.O.B and group 3 Loved this 3 year old natural effortless movement and so true. Wedge shaped head, correct neck well made and developed balanced body. Excellent croup and hindquarters well muscled, Good layback of shoulder, tight elbows staight front nice oval feet. Presented in excellent coat and condition.

Group 4. Bearded Collie Carters Karmellann Stargazer 9 year old male that I considered totally honest. Maturity without coarseness, nice overall balance excellent forequarters, elbows tight. Rear well muscled and angulated, nice topline and tailset Presented in super coat and condition and his freedom of movement took him to the top spot.

Puppy Group 1. Welsh Corgi (Pem) Creechs Zydahayes Sir Bruce. At 9 mths this puppy quite outstanding and should have a great future. Super head, nice eye and ear shape and great expression. Super neck, topline short loin correct tailset. Nice layback of shoulder tight elbows well boned correct breed feet. Moves well for age and was presented in excellent body and coat condition and this lad responds well to handler.

Group 2. Stetland Sheepdog Moores Jacanshe Be Our Guest at Santiara. 7 mth boy correct size with nice balanced length to height all giving a very smart outline. Excels in head, dark eyes nice ear set all giving a most sweet expression. Super hind and forequarters elbows tight, straight front nice feel moved well front, side and rear.

Group 3. Allens Karmidale Black Onyx at Tinolucianna. promising 6 mths nice head, eyes, ears all giving true expression. Good body balance, correct rump, hindquarters, shoulders straight front, just now needs to settle a shade more in movement.

Group 4. Aust Shepherd Richards Birkcross Secret Agent with Accra. B.O.B Nice overall balance, good ear shape set high, level topline correct croup, nice hindquarters and feet. Good shoulder placement and bone. Would prefer a more oval eye shape. Moved with drive.

 

Australian Shepherd. Grad D.B. 3. 1. Richards Birkcross Secret Agent with Accra. B.O.B and puppy group 4.

2. Lees Villanyda Wizards apprentice of Amenbury Head not quite so well balanced as winner, but does have nice eye and expression. Nice rear and forequarters wellboned would like better feet and does need to settle more in movement.

3. Haddocks Jotars Follow Your Heart.

 

Open D.B 4. 3 1. Haddocks Jolars Follow your Heart. overall well balanced head defined stop would like a better eye shape, ear shape and placement good. Good mature body condition firm rear quarters, tight correct feet. Won the class on movement.

2. Lees Amberslade Morse Code for Amenbury. 19mths and still needs to settle to the job in hand in movement. Preferred head balance of winner. Good front and rear quarters bone and feet.

3. Lees Louis Blanchette of Amenbiry.

 

Belgian Shepherd Dog Groen. (3) 1. 1. Allens Karmidale Black Onyx at Tinolucianna. B.O. B and puppy group 3;

Bearded Collie Jun D.B. 2 1. Pattersons Corimist Over the Rainbow. 6 mths baby pleasing overall construction and nicely balanced. Feminine head and expression, good topline, short loin. Nice honest allround puppy won the class on movement.

2. Carter Victory Winds Orange Mechanique for Karmellann. another nice youngster of 7 mths that today wanted to be anyplace but a dog show especially when moving.

 

Grad D.B. (2) 1 1. Webbs Megamaree Just Amazing pleasing overall head, with nice eye and expression. Moderate neck, good topline and balanced body, well angulated rear, shoulders nice feet moved with drive.

 

Open D.B 7 1. Carters Karmellann Stargazer B.O.B and Group 4.

2. Betts Pipadene Whiskey and Lace appealing head with feminine expression, moderate neck correct in topline, balanced body correct depth, short loin nice rear angulation. Excellent shoulders and front. Presented a lovely outline standing. Moves true fore and aft but today lack in side movement drive and the freedom of winner.

3. Carters Dychix Queen of Hearts.

 

Briard. 2. 1 jacobs-Pearce Salleri Heaven Knows at Arundall B.O.B 3 year old lacking a little in coat, but overall nicely constructed. Pleasing in head and expression with correct eyes and ears that are nicely set. Level topline with slight slope to group. Well angulated hindquarters, shoulders straight front correct feet. Moved true with drive.

2. Haddocks Gilcoru Moulin D’bria. another 3 year old in full coat and maturity and presents a very nice outline. While he as many nice qualities he does Need now to settle more in movement.

 

Finnish Lapphund. Open D.B 2 1. Coopers Pavoskas Aly Aritu B.O.B Strong all male head and expression, correct eye shape, but would like a better ear. Correct medium neck, nice overall balance strong bone correct feet presented in excellent coat and condition. Moved well.

2. Treasures Infindigo Riemu Emmi. Presents a nice overall outline, pleasing head nice eye, ear and expression. Well boned good hindquarters need to tighten in front standing and on the move.

2/ Shaws Astradine Keepsake 3 year feminine in head and expression, well balanced body, good bone, feet, lacked shoulder placement and overall condition of winner.

 

Pyrenean Moutain Dog. Open 2 1/ Thorne Ch Belshanmish Pretty in Pink at Pyrajay group 1.

2/ Thorne Kricarno Konstellation at Pyrajay Lacked the overall quality, movement and front construction of kennel mate, but enjoyed the day out.

 

Collie Rough. Grad 4 1/ Wares Kind of Magic Della Buca Delle Fate at Wassall. Grad Most promising 10 mth with feminine head, nice eye and ear shape all giving true expression. Correct length of neck good body balance, group and rear quarters. Good shoulder tight elbows straight boned front correct feet. Just needs to settle a tad more in movement

2/ Lockyers Riverside Song Xellent Winner at Gataj another 10mths male of overall correct balance. Pleasing head and expression just lacked the movement, drive and feet of winner.

3/ Bolts Nutslade Kiss the Stars

Open D.1/ Lockyers Think of Me Prince of Sunlight at Gataj. B.O.B promising 17 mth male correct shape head nice eye and ears shape well set all giving true expression. Well constructed balanced body correct rump and muscled hindquarters. Nice forequarters correct for bone and feet. Moves true but a tad proud of tail but still young.

 

Samoyed. Open (7) 6. 1/ B.O.B Wingers Samarinds Shock wave for Syanaria Loved this boys head, excellent eye and ear shape all giving a true breed most alert expression. Well developed body all giving correct overall balance. Nice shoulders, elbows tight straight well boned front. Good muscled hindquarters, nice tailset and carrage.

2/ Prouts Amariga Armani Diamonds at Furzeland Pleasing head with nice eye and expression. Good overall balance, strong hindquarters and forequarters, Just lost to winner today on movement.

3/ Prouts Furzeland Devon Warrior.

 

Polish Lowland Sheepdog.(3) 2. 1/Sweets Chrevie Zophire B.O.B Shade long in foreface nice eye and ear set alert expression. Body mature and firm, good hindquarters, shoulders, front and feet. Moved true and with drive that won her the class.

2/ Burdett-Coutts Dobrany Dorianblue Odyssi Overall well balanced but lacked the maturity and muscle tone of winner. Pleasing head and expression.

 

Shetland Sheepdogs. Puppy (4) 2 1/ Moores Jacanshe Be Our Guest at Santiara. Best puppy and later puppy group 2

2/ Crawfords Mohnesee Queen of Clubs. 8 mth bitch that lacked the maturity of winner and also needs to tighten in front movement.

Grad (7) 1/ Eldreds Karmidale Talk of the Town at Belthorne. 4 year male well mature with good muscle, Presented in excellent coat Nice overall head and expression, well balanced body, nice shoulders, front and feet. Moved well.

2/ Mitchells Milesend Thistle at Lowenek. Lacked coat, but showed nice overall balanced outline. Excellent ear set and alert expression, moved OK.

3/ Mitchells Karmidale Secret Love at Lowenek

Open D. (4) 3 1/ Moores Santiara Moon River. 7 year old presented in excellent coat and condition, nice overall balance giving excellent outline. Pleasing head eye and ear shape all giving true breed expression. Correct rump, hindquarters, muscle tone. Nice shoulder placement tight elbows straight front correct feet moved well.

2/ Eldreds Dippersmoor Star Struck at Belthorpe. Another pleasing head and expression, nice construction correct for bone but lust lost out to winners movement today.

3/ Marshs Mohnesee Black Again

Open B (4) 1/ Dunns Neraklee Chardonnay at Shelleary B.O.B and group 3

2/ Mitchells Lowenek Calypso. 8 year old presented in excellent condition and a credit to owner. Excellent overall balance and loosing to winner on movement.

3/ Waldrons Lavika Good Times at Frecia.

Welsh Corgi (Pem) Open (5) 1/ Creechs Zydahayes Sir Bruce. B.O.B and puppy group 1.

2/ Creechs Zydahayes Jitterbug 3 year old, ad on the heavy side thus effecting movement a shade. Pleasing head nice eye and expression. Well laid back shoulders tight elbows correct feet.

3/ Lees Balletcor Morning Symphony of Amenbury.

A.V.N.S.C Pastoral Puppy (2) 1/Hicks Oldoak Memory Maker at Lanxon O.E.S Pleasing head and expression, good shoulders, front and feet Strong hindquarters moved well.

2/ Simpsons Hawsflight in Overdrive B.S.D (Terv) Super head eye and ear set all giving correct expression. Ample neck well developed body correct hindquarters. Nice shoulder layback but needs to tighten in front,

Post Grad (3) 1/ Hackneys Starvon Bring it On S Valhund. Nice outline well bodied good bone. Pleasing head nice ear shape well set alert expression. Ample neck nice for length and hindquarters, moved well.

2/ Pilgrims Donburg by Appointment at Woodbriar, much to like about this Tervueren, but so full of life that so spoils any hope of seeing the best of his movement. Excellent head and expression well made body. Hope he soon acts his age.

3/ Howes Dangas Diva x Dotter of Valaller.

Open (2) 1/ Howes Ch Starvon Veni Vidi. S Valhund, 7 year old presented in excellent coat and firm muscled condition. Well balanced very nice head and expression, Excellent hindquarters and shoulders, correct depth of body. For age not overdone in any way best A.V.N.S.C.

2/ Hackneys Starvon All About Me S Valhund Liked head and expression, ample neck good length to hight, strong rear angulated quarters, good depth of body, well laid shoulders, tends to loose topline.
